These are used to provide links to protocols such as FTTH, FDDI, 10 Gigabit Ethernet, ATM. This cable has a figure 8 ribbon and is available in many colours. It is suitable for many applications including data centres, telecommunications networks and fibre to the home, as well as ODFs to wall outlets and connections between patch panels and boxes.
